My uncle wants to list his home on online rental websites. What are some do's and don't that he needs to follow so that his property is rented out soon?

Hi! It is quite easy to rent out a property online. I recently rented out a 2 BHK flat located in Whitefield through nobroker.com as I did not want to hire an agent or a broker. All I did was post the property ad for rent on the website. While posting the ad to rent a flat, I made sure to include these points:
  • I mentioned the information about the apartments which included apartment type (2 BHK flat); Apartment Name; Floor; How old my house was; built-up area and the locality.
  • I also listed the cost (rent) for the apartment; as I was willing to negotiate, I mentioned that as well; security/deposit amount and the maintenance charges.
  • Along with that, I mentioned the furnishing of the house. It was a furnished apartment so the rent was slightly higher.
  • I included the facilities and amenities like covered parking, swimming pool, gym and clubhouse.
  • Apart from that, I also mentioned the availability and whom this apartment is suitable for eg. bachelors or families. My property was open to all so I mentioned ‘anyone’.
I feel these are a few points that everyone should follow before posting an advertisement.
