Finding a good locality in Mumbai is quite a difficult task. I would like to share my experience with you. So I have been working in Mahape for the last 5 years. At the start, I stayed in Ghansoli then moved to Kopar Khairane and at last settled in Airoli.
a. Ghansoli is a good choice in terms of distance from Mahape. It is a walkable distance from the majority of the companies. You can find a 2 BHK in Ghansoli for around 15-18K. However, the area is a bit old and the buildings in this area old as well. The locality is not well developed and gives a town feel.
b. Kopar Khairane is a better option than Ghansoli as it is better developed. You can find several food joints and even grocery marts like Dmart in this area. You can expect to find a 2 BHK in this area around 18K per month.
c. Airoli is by far the best option. I had to shift to Airoli because I recently got married and felt like finding a family-friendly place and this was actually the best decision. The rent is comparatively affordable (20-22K for 2 BHK) and has all the basic necessities in the near vicinity. Apart from this, my partner works in Thane. As there is excellent connectivity to Thane, Vashi, Powai and other areas, it was easy to commute.
