In case, a seller is an NRI, the TDS to be deducted would depend on the amount being received by the seller. And, as per the value, the amount being received by the son is 45 lakhs, which is less than 50 lakhs, 20% TDS will be the liability on the son being an NRI.

Me (Resident) & my son (NRI) owne a flat. Now we are selling it for 90 Lakhs. For individual how value to be considered for TDS? If it has to be divided into two 45 Lakhs each as equal share, am I being resident liable for 1% TDS. Other than this, how much will be liability of my son being NRI?
