You need to write an application on a plain paper to the sub-registrar along with an undertaking mentioning that everything mentioned in the affidavit is true, where the property was registered informing about the lost deed. The affidavit must be accompanied by a copy of each- FIR, non-traceable certificate and the newspaper advertisement. A true duplicate copy will be issued.
