I once had a hard time choosing where to put my TV in a living room with lots of windows. It didn't seem right to me to put a TV in front of or across a window, especially when the sun was shining straight into the room. In my experience, it is generally not recommended to place TV in front of window. In addition to adding brightness to the room, natural light causes problems like glare and reflection on the screen.
Can I Place TV in Front of the Window?
Avoid placing the TV where it gets harsh afternoon sunlight or facing west.
Use window treatments, like Roman shades, blinds, or opaque drapes can reduce glare and block off light.
Consider the layout of the room, by selecting window coverings that are both practical and complementary to your interior design.
Check your comfort level by making sure the TV screen is observable from your primary seating area with minimal reflection.
I hope this helps!
