In this case, the property distribution after the death of the mother takes place according to the Hindu Succession Act if she has died without a will. The co-owner does not get the complete ownership, rather her share will be distributed among her legal heirs, i.e., her 3 children (including the co-owner). If the husband is alive, then the husband is also an heir and will get an equal share to the other heirs.
