If your SBI savings account is linked to a Flexi Fixed Deposit (Multi Option Deposit - MOD) and lacks sufficient balance for the transfer, SBI will automatically break the FD partially to complete the transaction. The required amount will be debited, and the remaining FD will continue to earn interest. If there’s enough balance in your savings account, the FD remains untouched.
