The Capital Gains Tax is to be paid in the same year in which the Long Term Capital Gains is earned.
If the capital gains earned is before 15th June of the financial year, then the whole capital gains must be paid by 15th June, of the financial year. Similarly, if the capital gains earned before 15th September, 15th December, 15th March, the tax should be paid by 15th September, 15 December, 15 th March, respectively. If the gains earned during 15th March to 31st March, the tax should be paid up to 31st March.
