As per my knowledge, a domicile Certificate is one of the documents required to get admission in a medical college.
I want you to know that anyone from Maharashtra can obtain this certificate, given that she or he is a resident in the state for the last 15 years.
However, there are different alternatives to a domicile certificate like a ration card, voter ID, the passbook of your bank account, etc. as they act as address proof.
I advise you to talk to officials at any medical college or medical students about the same.

I have completed class 10 (SSC) and 12(HSC) from Maharashtra board , my father is currently posted in Maharashtra as a central government employee. I am living in Maharashtra since 5 year. Will I eligible for Maharashtra domicile for MBBS admission through state quota(85%)?
