As per the previous regulation, after two months of unemployment, a full EPF withdrawal is permitted. With certain restrictions, tax exemptions are available for withdrawals of EPF corpus. Employee contributions to the EPF account must be made continuously for five years in order to qualify for tax exemption on the EPF corpus.
