Before 2010, there was only one way of clearing cheques i.e., Clearing House. All cheques had to undergo a physical clearing procedure. Now, cheques are cleared online. I will share with you how to write account payee cheque. Follow the tips shared below to write a perfect cheque.

How to write ac payee cheque?Since these cheques are a type of crossed cheque, the money is directly transferred to the bank account of the drawer. You need to draw two parallel crossed lines at the top left side of the instrument.
You will then need to write ‘A/C Payee Only’.
You can also write “Account payee" on the cheque leaf.
If you don't write “Account payee”, then it will be processed as a crossed cheque instead.
Fill in other details as you normally would.

Facts about AC cheques:These cheques are more secure than other types of cheques.
Only the account holder can encash the cheque.
These cheques cannot be encashed at the counter.
The payable amount (written on the cheque) is transferred to the holder's account.
If the Payee’s account and Drawer’s account are in the same bank branch, in the same city, the bank processes requests regarding these cheques quickly.
