Writing a normal cheque and writing a post dated cheque are more or less the same. The difference is the date you write. You need to mention the future date instead of the date when you are writing the cheque. Other than this you need to fill in all the important details of the cheque so that the person who has been issued the cheque gets the amount written on the cheque.
