As an electrical engineer, I can tell you how to wire a house DB board. But before that, let me tell you about the DB or distribution board. DB is a common enclosure or electricity supply system that divides the electrical power feed among subcircuits. It has protection fuses or MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers) for every subcircuit, an isolator, and RCCBs (Residual Current Circuit Breakers) or RCDs (Residual-current devices). I have shared the process for you below.
Distribution Board Wiring Process
Here are the basic steps to wire a DB board.
Switch off the primary power source.
Now, mount the DB board at an easily accessible height (usually placed next to the primary electrical entry point).
Put the main circuit breaker in place.
The primary isolator is now connected to the energy meter's phase and neutral wires.
Link the RCCB to the isolator's phase and neutral wires.
Following that, connect the neutral lines to the neutral link from the RCCB.
Additionally, the phase lines and MCBs are connected in parallel.
Finally, connect the different wires to the proper terminals on the DB board and cover the board.
If you are unsure about the wiring processes, please do not try them on your own. I would recommend calling an electrician for the same.
