Hi there! Using Johnson Controls AC is pretty simple. You must set the control mode which will inform the thermostat about the temperature. My first experience with setting up our Johnson AC was also kind of confusing, and it took me a while to figure it out. Steps to Use Johnson Controls AC Remote
I went through the user manual that comes with the air conditioner and found the procedure to use the AC. Here’s how you can do it.
You must set the control mode first. For this, just press the ‘Menu’ icon.
Then, press ‘setup’.
Now comes ‘General Setup’.
Then, press ‘control mode’ and select the cooling, heating, or auto as you like.
After that’s done, you can just save and press the back arrow to return to the previous screen.

Setting Up Fan Mode
For this, you can follow a similar procedure here.
Start with the ‘Menu’ icon
Go to the setup and general setup buttons.
You will find an option to set ‘Fan Mode’
Then, select On, Auto, or Smart.
Pretty simple, right? Likewise, if you want to enable an optimal start, you can also go to the menu section and press ‘scheduling’ here. You can find the ‘optimal start enable’ button and select ‘Yes’, then save.
