I wanted to change the address in my Aadhar online and use the electricity bill as address proof for Aadhar card. I thought of visiting an Aadhar allotment centre but was having a time crisis, so I tried doing it online. You can visit the Aadhar portal and get it done there only. Many people believe that only Voter ID, Driving Licence, ration card, or other such documents can be cited as address proof, but that is not the case. You can give an electricity bill for address proof as well. In that case, you will have to upload the electricity bill for the last 3 months.
How to give electricity bill as address proof in a Aadhar card?
You can simply go to the Aadhaar allotment office offline and submit the last three months’ electricity bills there, or you can simply upload them online. Here is how you can do it:

My Aadhaar portal
Login next to the portal
Select the option Aadhar update online
Select Proceed to Aadhar update next
Enter all the details as required and upload your electricity bills next
Pay the fee of Rs 50 and it will be done
You will be notified about the update in your registered email or mobile number next.

How to use electricity bill as address proof?You just need to attach the electricity bill in the relevant space on the portal where you are filing the form. Most electronic forms have an option for address proof.

Then, find the relevant pdf, or jpg file on your computer
Hit on the select button.
If you are submitting the electricity bill as address proof offline. Just attach a photocopy of your bill. You might need to self-attest it for credibility.
