I wanted to learn how to transfer Bharat gas connection from one person to another as I was trying to get it on my name. I wasn’t aware of the process, and because of that, I looked it up online. The process is rather simple, and the existing customer has to write a consent letter talking about the transfer of ownership. Following this, there are a few minor steps that need to be followed. As I mentioned above, the existing customer needs to give written consent to allow the transfer, but the letter needs to be in a proper format. Since I wasn’t aware of that, I got in touch with the distributor to collect the consent letter format. Here’s what I did after that.
The ownership was in my uncle’s name, so I wrote the letter, got it signed by him and submitted it to the distributor.
I also signed an undertaking to indemnify the oil company against any claims.
The distributor verified the details and refunded the original security deposit to me.
Following that, I had to pay a new security deposit at the current rate to receive a fresh subscription voucher in my name.
