My household has 3 gas connections and I realised very late that three connections from one household were hampering the supply of gas to weaker households which were struggling to get even one connection. So, I decided to surrender two of my gas connections. But I did not know

how to cancel HP gas booking. While looking for answers on the internet I realised that there are different HP gas booking cancel  processes for change of residence in the same city and for change of residence in different cities. I am going to tell you both ways.

The two different procedures for HP

gas cancellation are given below.

In Case of Change of Residence within Same City:

• If you have an LPG connection registered at a specific address in a specific city and want to relocate within the same city, you must contact the HPGAS distributor and seek an e-Customer Transfer Advice (called an e-CTA).

• When you present your original Subscription Voucher, an Authorization Code will be assigned to your request.

• e-CTA is only valid for 3 months from the date of issue.

• The SV and e-CTA must be handed to the new distributor that services the area where your new residence is located when you obtain your e-CTA and SV.

• The new distributor will enrol you as a customer, endorse your SV, and send it back to you.

In Case of Change of Residence to a Different City:

• You must completely surrender your existing LPG connection and return the pressure regulator and gas cylinder to the distributor when migrating to a different city.

• The distributor will issue you a Termination Voucher (TV) and refund the initial security deposit you paid when you signed up for the service.

• After you've moved to your new city, you'll need to contact your local HPGAS distributor and submit the security deposit and registration/documentation fees.

• The new distributor will then issue a new Subscription Voucher, a new cylinder, and a new pressure regulator after this is completed. At this time, the Domestic Gas Consumer Card is not required to be filed.
