How to shiplap a wall?Prep the wall by removing nails, paintings, baseboards, crown moulding, trim, etc.
Let the flooring adjust to moisture and room temperature by not covering it for 48 hours.
Make a template of the outlet and plates present on the wall.
Paint the unfinished wallboards as the colour will peek through.
Measure the wall carefully for placement.
Make a guideline of where the boards need to be placed.
Then you will need to mark vertical studs on your shiplap entryway wall.
For an authentic look, put a nickel between each sheet.
Add all the rows one after another.
This is how you get a shiplap wall in your home.
To get a rustic shiplap wall, you will need a few tools. Those are a saw, level, stud finder, hammer, and nails. I would recommend starting from the bottom of the wall and making your way up.
