To learn how to shade your air conditioner, I looked up a few methods online. I have shared them below for your reference.

How to Make Shade for AC Unit: 3 Easy Methods
From my research, I learned that there are three methods that you can follow to shade your AC unit. I have added these methods below.
Building A Simple Frame: You can build a simple frame over the outdoor AC unit. After that, you can cover that using cardboard or worn-out clothes.
Plant Trees: One of the easiest ways to shade your AC unit is by using trees. You can plant trees that grow slowly around the unit. But be sure to leave enough space between the AC unit and the trees.
AC Unit Cover: You can get an AC unit cover with some pole brackets, supports, clips, etc.
Another method that you can try is to build a latticework wall. These are a few methods that you can use to shade your air conditioner. I hope you find this helpful.
