I prefer a table fan over an AC or a ceiling fan. So, when my table fan stopped working a few weeks back, I was in so much trouble. Because living in this scorching heat of Delhi is next to impossible. I immediately looked up table fan repair services around me and hired an electrician to repair the fan. He inspected the fan and told me that it was not working because of the deposition of grime on the motor and vent.
How to Repair Table Fan Not Working?
He told me that poor ventilation can trap dust and heat inside the case of the motor, and this stops the fan from moving. Here’s what he did to fix the issue.
He started by inspecting the back of the motor case and used a dry microfiber cloth to wipe away the dust deposit.
Next, he removed the vent cover from the fan and used a hair dryer to blow out the dust and debris trapped in the small openings.
After that, he plugged in the fan to check if it was working properly or not. After it was running smoothly, he turned it off and assembled it back.
And that was how he was able to fix my table fan. Now, it's working properly and he has suggested that I get it cleaned once every 2-3 months.

Although it is just the month of March, I can see that the temperature is rising and it is becoming difficult to deal with the scorching heat. During this time, my table fan was my best companion until it suddenly stopped working! Instead of buying a new one, I started thinking about table fan repairing options. The main problem that I faced with my table fan was the spinning issue.
Table Fan How to Repair?
The power supply was fine, also, there was no obstruction in the blades, however, the fan was not spinning. So after opening it up I noticed a thick layer of dust inside the motor, causing the jam. Additionally, the lubricant had dried out due to the collected dust.
The Fix: Lubricating and Cleaning the Motor
I unplugged the fan first, then carefully unscrewed the back cover to get at the motor in order to fix it. Cleared the dust accumulation from the coils and moving parts using a vacuum and a soft brush. Finally, I lubricated the motor shaft and bearings with a few drops of machine oil.
This ultimately made my table fan operational, just like a new one. Hope this trick helps you too.

During this summer, our table fan started making rattling sounds and I was really annoyed. I planned to call an expert but my husband insisted on doing it himself. He knew how to repair a table fan so he gave it a try. It took around half an hour and the fan started working fine. So let me share what method he followed here.
How to Fix a Table Fan?
To fix a table fan, you will first need to identify the issue. In our case, the fan was making a weird sound and the speed seemed to have slowed as well. My husband therefore
Switched off the power supply first
Then he removed the clamps on the outer side of the fan
Once its done, he started detaching the blades by rotating the knob
Since all the parts had been dismantled, the next step was to clear all the parts. I cleared all of them with a damp cloth
Then we reassembled the parts again in order and finally the fan started working fine
Start by ensuring the fan is plugged into a working power outlet. Verify the power switch and try a different socket.
Examine the fan blades for any obstructions or damage. If there is, try to remove it as fast as you can for its smooth performance
Apply a few drops of lubricating oil to the fan motor. This can enhance performance and reduce noise.
If the fan has a fuse, inspect and replace it if necessary.
Assess the fan's speed control switch for faults. Replace if needed, ensuring compatibility.
Inspect the capacitor for any signs of damage or leakage. If found, replace it with a compatible component.
So these are some basic checkups and solutions on how to repair a table fan. But if you find the issue serious, hire a professional.

Check if the fan is working by switching it into multiple outlets.
Now if the fan still isn't working unplug with fab and unhook the blade guard or unscrew the pin.
Move the blades in the centre of the fan anti-clockwise to remove the blades.
Now you need to slide the back half of the blade guard off in the middle of the pin.
Turn your fan and check the screws in the back.
Flip the pin on the front of the fan and check if it is spinning.
Now block the base of the pins by unscrewing the washers or bolts.
If the pin is sticking you will have to use a lubricant. Oiling the pin can work.
Rotate the bolts around the lubricated part when you are spinning it.
Now it's time to clean the motor.
Plug the fan into the switch and check if it's working.
If it is working then resemble the parts such as blades, bolts, and case and put the whole thing together.
