Check out the amenities available near the property you would like to rent. You definitely don't want to rent a place which is far away from your job location. Find a place where you can easily get all the transport and the place should be close to hospitals, malls, gyms etc. Also, do a background check to see if the locality is safe for you.

Six months ago, I moved to Bangalore for work and started looking for a rental house. I used many methods to find a rental home, such as checking real estate websites like NoBroker and 99acres, and searching on social media platforms like Facebook. How to Find Homes for Rent?
You can check real estate websites and social media to find the rental property. At the same time, try these offline methods too, as I did.
Ask family, and friends: I asked my family, friends, and neighbors if they knew any rental houses nearby. Some of them shared contacts of owners who were renting their homes.
To-Let Boards: While walking around residential areas, I noticed “To-Let” boards outside houses. This is also a simple and direct way to find rental homes.
Newspaper: Some house owners still post rental ads in newspapers, so it's a good idea to check there as well.
I followed all these methods, and finally, I found a rental house. It was within my budget and had the right size and amenities as per my requirement. I hope this helps you in your search.
