Drains are kept in place by screws. So, begin by unscrewing them. On the side, keep a few paper towels with you to clean up soap dirt, and hair.
If you feel the drain cover is fixed tightly, apply a drain lubricant to loosen the drain cover. Avoid using oil or fat for this purpose.
If you find out that the drain is clogged, I would recommend you to clear it up using a drain snake. I use this tool often and have seen great results.
After you unclog, apply lubricant over the drain once it is completely dry.
After waiting for 10 minutes, you can unscrew the drain cover.
Then, take two nose pliers and insert them on either side of the drain.
Start turning them towards the side where the drain opens.
The drain cover will come off easily after this.
