Here is how to remove dents from fridge:

  1. First, unplug the refrigerator for safety. Clean the dented area properly. Use rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth to remove grease, dust, or fingerprints. A clean surface helps the glue stick well.

  2. Next, look at the size and shape of the dent. Choose a glue tab (adapter) that closely matches the dent. Do not choose a tab that is bigger than the dent.

  3. Now heat the glue gun. Apply a small amount of hot glue to the centre of the glue tab.

  4. Quickly press the tab straight onto the centre of the dent. Hold it firmly for a few seconds and let the glue cool completely.

  5. After the glue sets, attach the pulling tool or dent puller to the glued tab. Tighten it gently so there is no loose movement.

  6. Slowly pull the handle or squeeze the trigger. Do not pull too hard. Pull little by little and check the surface often.

  7. Once the dent comes out, loosen the tool and remove it. Spray rubbing alcohol around the glue tab and gently peel it off using a plastic scraper. Clean the area again with a cloth.

  8. You may notice small high spots after pulling. Use a knockdown tool with a soft tip and lightly tap the high spots. Tap very gently because the fridge steel is soft.

  9. Finally, clean the surface with stainless steel cleaner. Check the reflection from different angles. Repeat the steps if needed, but work patiently. With slow and careful effort, the dent will look much better.

I hope you now know how to remove dents from stainless steel fridge.

Hi Karishma. My kid accidentally caused a dent on our fridge while playing with the football the other day. The dent was pretty deep and I wanted to fix it. I tried to repair it myself using dry ice and compressed air. Luckily, the tricks worked. I will thus be able to share how to remove dents from fridge. Follow the steps below to know the process.

How to Remove a Dent from a Fridge?

Here are two methods you can use:

Dry Ice

Dry ice is pretty cold. Due to the extreme coldness, the metal can contract with it, fixing the dent in the process. For this, wear gloves to avoid burning your fingers. Then, wrap the ice in a soft cloth and hold it to the dent. Hold it there for around 1 minute till you feel the metal is cold.

Condensed Air

You can grab a can of condensed air. Turn the can upside down and blow the air at the dent. Give a few squeezes of air to blow out. The idea is to make the dented region cold enough to contract and fix itself.

This is how to remove dent from refrigerator. I am hoping you will find the steps useful.

Learning how to remove dents from fridge can be a simple DIY process. Last Sunday, I dedicated my time in maintaining my fridge's aesthetic appeal, preventing further damage, and ensuring proper functioning by removing dents promptly.

How to Remove Dent from Refrigerator?

Before beginning the dent removal process, I always make sure the refrigerator is unplugged to ensure safety.

If you are wondering how to remove a dent from a fridge, I am aware of two methods, which are;

  • Method of Plunging:

I used a wet plunger to get good results when trying to remove small dents. Placed it over the dent and applied firm, strategic pulls until the metal popped back into shape.

  • Heat and Compressed Air:

Another effective method involves using a hairdryer to heat the dent and swiftly spraying the area with compressed air turned upside down. The rapid cooling helps the metal contract, aiding dent removal.

These DIY methods, depending on the dent's size and the fridge's material, can often restore its appearance without the need for professional assistance.
