I am planning to regrout the floor tiles of my kitchen. Because doing so can prolong the life of my kitchen flooring and give it a new look. So, I researched how to regrout kitchen floor tiles. I found it can be done by removing the old grout, cleaning the area with vinegar water solution followed by several other steps. I have shared the detailed steps I came across.
How to Regrout Kitchen Tile Floor?
Here is the process I came across.
Start removing the old grout by fitting the oscillating multitool with the grout removal blade.
Now, you can vacuum the grout lines with the oscillating multitool.
Using the manual grout removal tool with a carbide tip, remove the remaining grout.
Following that, you must use a solution of vinegar and water to thoroughly clean the area and leave it to dry.
As directed by the manufacturer, mix the new grout.
Apply the grout to the spaces between the tiles by scooping it out of the bucket with a rubber grout float.
Now, as directed by the manufacturer, allow the grout to set for the allotted amount of time.
To remove extra grout from the tile surface, use a moist sponge.
Use a microfiber cloth to polish the tiles to get rid of any grout haze that may have remained.
Finally, to shield your kitchen flooring from moisture and stains, apply a grout sealant.
I found the steps time consuming for me, so I planned to hire a professional to do the task.
