I too get confused while linking Aadhar, mobile and PAN and what not with my bank account. Recently I too got my mobile number linked with my bank account so let me guide you as well.
At first:
Go to the nearest ATM of the bank where you have account
Insert your ATM or Debit Card
Go to the Main Menu
Select the option Register Mobile Number
Provide the 10 digit mobile number there
You will receive an OTP instantly and you will need to furnish it
Click confirm and get it done
