For about 4 months, I noticed that my marble table had lost its shine and looked a bit dull. Instead of calling a professional, I decided to try polishing it at home. But I had to research a lot on how to polish marble table top at home? Trust me, with just a few household items and some patience, I managed to restore its glossy finish.
How to Polish Marble at Home?
Clean the surface by applying a few drops of mild dish soap to a soft towel soaked in warm water.
Polish the surface by combining three parts water and one part baking soda. Using a microfibre cloth, rub in circular strokes.
After applying the polish, gently rub the surface with a clean, dry cloth or a buffing pad until the desired sheen is achieved.
For regular cleaning of marble, I can advise you to use a pH-neutral cleanser made especially for natural stone. Avoid using harsh chemicals or acidic cleaners as they can damage the marble.
Hope this helps!
