The consumer must provide an affidavit on Notary Stamp Paper worth Rs. 10, providing the cause for permanent disconnection to the Area Executive Engineer, Distribution Division, along with a copy of the most recent bill.
The consumer must pay the outstanding dues and submit the necessary PD Fee at the office of the Executive Engineer, Distribution Division.
Consumers having load above 100BHP/75KW should pay Rs. 1000.00, Power consumers up to 100BHP/75KW should pay Rs. 500.00, and all other categories of consumers should pay Rs. 300.00.
How to Permanently Disconnect Electricity Connection in PVVNL?
The supply will be permanently terminated in the following instances:
Upon the conclusion of the contract.
If the reason for which the supply was temporarily cut off is not resolved within six months.
At the consumer's request as outlined in section 4.14(g). According to which a consumer has the right to end the agreement upon providing a notice in the required format.
The notice period will be 30 days for all customers. Upon receipt of the notice, the licensee must schedule a reading, terminate the supply, remove the meter and cable, and provide a final bill covering all outstanding amounts until the disconnection date within 30 days from the application date.
Upon payment, the Licensee will provide a receipt marked with FINAL BILL, which will be recognised as a No Dues Certificate.
If the payments are not made by the consumers, the surcharge owed by them on dues will be charged until a maximum of eight months only.
The security amount will be adjusted initially, and once the adjustment is made, the net arrear will be calculated to determine the surcharge that the consumer must pay
