Hey, we recently got our open living room and kitchen painted. So I would surely be able to tell you how to paint open kitchen and living room. Check the steps below:

Steps to Paint Open Kitchen and Living Room

  1. You can try feature walls in every zone of your open kitchen and living room plan to create separate and enhance different moods. Like you can choose a deep, soothing colour behind a sofa for relaxation and a lighter, brighter shade for the wall near the dining table or in the kitchen.

  2. One good technique you can use to paint an open plan space is to use two to three base colours to unify the different zones in the open plan space. You can then add pops of contrasting colour for depth and character. Like you can go for whites and greys as the base. Then highlight the kitchen using a splash of bright colours such as lemon yellow or orange on the upper part of the feature wall.

  3. If you have a smaller space, then it can get a bit tricky to strategise the painting task. If you don’t have a lot of space to play with, look at the ceiling and go for something other than white. Here is where you can add a pop of colour. You can go for a rich, earthy colour like browns and greens.

So, this is all. Hope this helps.
