How to Paint around Ceiling Spotlights?
They removed the fixture's canopy, which is the bowl-shaped, spherical piece that is pressed firmly against the ceiling, and lowered it to paint neatly.
As the wiring was visible, they switched off the electricity of the house. The canopy hides the electrical box.
After this, they covered the fixture with a thin layer of plastic sheeting to shield it from paint splashes.
Now outside of the canopy's coverage, they painted the ceiling with a brush.
To cover the remaining ceiling, they used a paint roller equipped with an extendable pole that can be adjusted.
After the paint dried, the painters lifted the canopy again, tightened the fasteners, and took out the plastic.
