Here are steps following which you can paint your roof-

Before starting any painting project, prioritise safety. Wear appropriate protective gear such as goggles, gloves, and a respirator mask to protect yourself from fumes and paint splatters. Additionally, ensure you have a stable ladder or scaffolding to reach the roof safely.

Thoroughly clean the roof surface to remove any dirt, debris, moss, or algae. You can use a pressure washer or a stiff brush along with a cleaning solution to effectively clean the roof. Allow the roof to dry completely before proceeding.

Remove any loose objects or obstacles from the roof. Cover nearby plants, windows, and other areas that you don't want to be painted with drop cloths or plastic sheets. Secure them with tape to prevent paint splatters.

Choose a high-quality exterior roof paint colour that is specifically designed for your roof material. Consult with a paint professional or refer to the manufacturer's instructions to select the appropriate paint.

Depending on the condition of your roof and the type of paint you're using, you may need to apply a primer. Check the paint manufacturer's recommendations to determine if a primer is necessary, and follow the instructions accordingly.
