I recently moved to a new flat. During the packing process, apart from packing bulky things, I also got an idea around packing liquids for moving. I basically had to pack several liquid items, like cooking oils, cleaning solutions, toiletries, and even some unopened beverages. Since spills could ruin other packed items, I had to be extra careful. I used leak proof containers to pack liquids for moving.

How to Pack Liquids for Moving?

  1. Use Leak-Proof Containers: If the original packaging is fragile or has already been opened, transfer liquids into tightly sealed, unbreakable bottles.

  2. Cover with Plastic or Zip-Lock Bags: To prevent leaks, cover bottles with cling film or zip-lock bags.

  3. Clearly Label: To prevent improper handling, mark the box as "Liquids" and "This Side Up."

  4. Cushion Well: To stop boxes from moving and to absorb any leaks, line them with bubble wrap, newspapers, or towels.

  5. Pack Upright: Avoid piling heavy objects on top of liquids and always keep them upright in the box.

Trust me, by following these steps, all my liquids reached safely without a single spill!
