Here is the process I followed to pack and move my belongings within Bangalore in a day.

• Began by decluttering first. This means that I got rid of items that I truly didn't want to take with me to the new residence. It's a surprisingly large quantity.

• I then packed each room individually, beginning with the ones that were used the least and working my way up to the ones that were used the most.

• Finally, to facilitate identification throughout the unpacking process, I neatly labeled each box with its contents and the room to which it belongs.

Here is a quick process you can follow:

1. Start by packing an essential bag you’ll need when you shift to the new place. Do so in the beginning to avoid packing the stuff.

2. Begin your day early in the morning and make a list of everything you must pack and what needs to be donated. Make notes of the big and heavy items likewise.

3. Choose the heavy, delicate items to pack first. This way, most of the space will get cleared, giving you enough space to pack and think about what needs to be done. 

4. Pack each room separately and store the items in the boxes labelled with the room they belong to. 

5. Keep the items to be donated separately, as you pack your way from one room to another. 

6. Store the items in your bags to save space and do things quickly by reducing the number of bags needed. 

7. Stack the boxes after labelling them. This will help clear the clutter and keep the space free for movement.

8. Donate the items you no longer need and load the rest.

• Pack a 72-Hour Kit

The first thing she told me about how to pack and move in one day, was to pack a 72-hour kit. I wasn’t aware of that and asked her. She told me that this pack is about putting together all the daily essentials in one place. Daily essentials such as combs, shampoo, toothbrush, medication, etc. According to her, a few days before the move and a few days after can be a little chaotic and this pack can help in that scenario. 

• Packing Each Room Seperately

She told me that packing each room at a time would be the right choice. She suggested that I go to each room and start packing each and every item using bubble wrap. Then I put them in boxes and labelled them accordingly. 

• Make A Throw And Donate Pile

She told me when it comes to how to pack to move in one day, it's best to throw and donate items that I don't need. Then suggested that I make two piles of things that I want to donate and throw. I did that and asked my landlord to help me donate the stuff that was in the donation pile.
