Here is how you can pack your items in 3 days for a move:

1. Start by segregating the items. You need to assign which items will be kept and which will be thrown/donated. Once you have all the items that are to be packed, you can move forward.

2. What worked for me was to plan and pack items space-wise. I packed all the bedroom stuff together, kitchen stuff together and so on.

3. Separate fragile items and store them separately. Pack all the essentials first in sturdy boxes with a lot of packaging paper or packing peanuts.

4. Label as per room and mark fragile wherever needed. Also, write a small description of the items, like crockery or toiletries.

5. Once you have packed all the stuff room-wise. You can double-check to ensure everything is packed and nothing is missed.

6. Keep enough time on the 3rd day to see that the stuff that isn't to be packed doesn’t have anything you want.

As per my experience, I will say three days is enough to pack for a move if you are organised and follow the below tips:

Day 1

Since you will probably have the most energy on the first day, it is preferable to tackle the most difficult activities first.

• First, pack your things like tools, lawn items, sports equipment, seasonal goods, etc.

• Proceed to the linen closet, cleaning supply closet and laundry room.

• Try packing the rooms in your home that aren't utilised much, including your library, or guest rooms.

Day 2

Now that you have finished the most difficult rooms, you must be feeling slightly relaxed. It's now time to focus on the kids' bedroom, dining area, and living room.

• Now, start your day 2 by packing all decor pieces, such as lamps, pictures, artwork, and objects from bookcases.

• Pack up all your electronic items, such as printers, computers and so on.

• Take out the bedroom and living room furnishings and pack them up. (You might have to spend the night on air mattresses or sleeping bags.)

• Now pack the furniture, toys, and other personal belongings of your kids.

• Wrap up your day 2 by packing all of your shoes and clothes. (Make sure to include the clothes for every family member in a different suitcase.)

Hopefully, you will now be only left with the kitchen and bathrooms on the final day
