Hello. I know the process to open SBI NRI account in Dubai. I moved to Dubai a few years ago and recently got a new savings account opened in the SBI Bank. The process is a bit lengthy, so I will list down all the steps you’d have to take in order to open the account. I will share the complete online method with you below.
Process for SBI Bank NRI Account Opening in Dubai
Here is the process you can follow:
You can go to the
website of SBI to apply for an NRE or NRO savings account.
Fill the online application, get the document attested, and post the application to the bank
.
How to Fill the Online Application
Fill in the customer information section by adding the personal details. Save the form.
You will receive an NRI Customer Reference Number (NCRN), save it with you as it will be needed later.
Fill in additional information on the next page.
You’ll be sent an email containing your NCRN and further instructions will be sent to the registered email address.
Next, fill in the type of account page and then enter the NCRNs to link your customer information section.
After filling out this page, save the form and an NRI Account Reference Number (NARN) will be generated, note it down.
Fill in the verification page after filling in the type of account page.
You’ll be sent an email with your NARN and the rest of the information will be sent to your email ID.
What after Filling the Application
Click on Download Completed Application on the home page enter your NARN number and your DOB and download the online submitted application.
Affix passport-size photos of the first applicant and second applicant (if any) in the Specimen Signature, Photograph & Third Party Attestation section on pages 3 and 5 respectively.
Enclose one extra photo of every applicant in the envelope while sending the account opening application to the bank.
Mention the place, and date and affix your signatures at A1, A2, A3, and A4 for the first applicant and B1, B2, B3, and B4 for the second applicant.
In case you are not visiting our Branch, then all applicant's signatures in the application and all Identification Documents have to be attested by any one of the following. Details of third party attester also need to be mentioned in the 'Specimen Signature, Photograph & Third Party Attestation’ section on page 3, if it's a single applicant application and on page 5 if it is a joint applicant application :
