How to open a warehouse?
Opening a warehouse is quite difficult, but if you have proper knowledge and expertise in the field you choose, you can do it in a better way. You just need an expert team to do market research and provide market survey reports. Follow the below steps for better understanding.
1) The land should be plain, good and convenient to work.
2) The area should have some connectivity roads and enough space for better vehicle movement.
3) Water and electricity must be available near the land.
4) The base height should be around 3 feet along with the RCC floor of minimum loading capacity of 5 tones per square meter.
5) It should have a height around 25 feet, the more the height, the more it will be beneficial.
6) It should have a good ventilation area and 20% natural light.
7) The slope is needed for the forklift to get in and space is needed to mount the crane for material movement.
Documents required for warehouse license:
1) You will need the warehouse's floor plan, standard Data Sheet and online Warehouse Registration Documentation of the quality standards where the warehouse (cold storage) is built.
2) The list of equipment for analysis and weighing goods at the warehouse and fire safety equipment.
3) According to the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules, 2017, a copy of the Records of Rights or a registered transfer document on which the warehouse is located.
4) The person’s Id proof as per the warehouse rule and form with the photograph of the authorized person.
5) The document indicating the warehouse performance and effectiveness.
