I recently bought a microwave in my new home and I observed it’s making my kitchen messy by occupying space on the worktop. So I was searching for how to mount a microwave on the wall and decided to do it on my own and thought I’d share my experience about how good and exciting it was.
How to Wall Mount Microwave?
From whatever I did, It was not too complicated since I had the right tools and a bit of patience.
Find the Right Spot: I started by choosing a good location on the wall. It needed to be at a comfortable height and I wanted it at eye level to easily check on the food inside without any strain. I also made sure it wasn’t near the stove or sink.
Gather Tools: I got all the necessary tools ready such as a drill, level, screws, and, of course, brackets designed to hold the weight of my microwave. I chose a set of brackets that could handle up to 70 kg, just to be safe.
Mark and Drill: After measuring and marking the wall for the bracket placement, I used a level to make sure everything was straight. Then, I drilled holes and inserted the wall plugs for extra support.
Install the Brackets: After this, I attached the brackets securely to the wall, double-checking that they were level. It’s a good idea to tighten the screws with a screwdriver.
Mount the Microwave: With the brackets firmly in place, I carefully lifted the microwave onto them. Once the microwave was settled, I checked its stability and plugged it in.
