I recently bought a 65 inch TV for my home and to mount it on the wall, I hired an electrician. I watched how he installed the TV to understand the process of how to install 65 inch TV on wall. He found the wall studs because the mount must be fixed into them for strong support. Then, he carefully completed the full installation. I have shared the full process below.

How to Mount a 65 Inch TV on the Wall?

  1. Find the wall studs because the mount must be screwed into them for strong support.

  2. Do not use drywall anchors because they can’t hold a heavy TV safely.

  3. Drill and attach all the screws and bolts tightly to make sure the mount is very secure.

  4. The mount can pull out from the wall, tilt up and down, and swivel side to side. It is strong enough to hold a TV up to 65 inches.

  5. Now, lift the TV and mount onto the bracket. Make sure all screws and bolts are tightly secured to keep the TV stable and firmly fixed in place.

I suggest hiring a professional to do it properly.

A few weeks ago, I bought a brand new 65-inch LED TV and was very excited to install it in my room. But then I noticed that it would take up too much room space. A friend of mine suggested that I should mount my TV on the wall to save up space and create a sleek look, and it sounded like a good idea to me. So I started researching online how to mount 65 inch TV on wall. I’ll be happy to share the steps that I followed.

How to Mount a 65 Inch TV?

  • I started by gathering everything I would need, which included a level, a drill, a stud finder, a solid wall mount, and a few other simple tools.

  • I chose a mount that could hold the weight of my TV and rotate and tilt, which was important for viewing angles.

  • Choosing a suitable location on the wall was the first step. I used the stud finder to locate the studs since it's important to securely attach the mount to them.

  • Used a pencil to indicate the locations of the studs after I located them.

  • I then used a level to make sure the wall mount was straight after holding it up to the wall at the height I wanted.

  • Once I was satisfied with the alignment, I marked where I wanted the studs to go.  After drilling pilot holes into the studs, I put the mount into place using screws.

Now that the mount was firmly in its place, the TV could be hung. You would probably need the help of another person with lifting the TV. I lifted the TV onto the mount with the help of my neighbour, and after carefully lining it up with the brackets, we finally locked it in place. After mounting the TV, we took a step back and saw that it had turned out to look really good. I used cable management clips to organise any messy cables to make it look cleaner.

This is all about how to put a 65 inch TV on the wall. With good enough planning and cooperation, mounting a 65 inch tv on the wall shouldn’t take a lot of time and effort. Just make sure that everything is bolted tight and is secure, and you are good to go!
