The central part of our living room is the sofa setup. It is the room where guests hang out and residents of the house chill. Having a stylish sofa in the room enhances the look and feel of the entire house. I have thought of some great homemade sofa cover ideas. I like the idea of a floral sofa cover or a dark leather sofa cover. Keep reading to know more.
You can easily DIY sofa cover at home. You will need materials like cloth of your choice, pins, glue, scissors, etc. A few other sofa cover ideas I like are :

How to make sofa cover ?- Material :
You need to know how much raw material you need for your project. Measure your sofa and figure out the length and width. Generally, the sofa width of a three-seater ranges from 32 to 60 inches (81 to 152 cm).
- Buy :
You will need to purchase fabric from the store. If you are going for a solid colour fabric, opt for colour with a drape.
- Wash :
This step might seem weird at first but you need to wash and dry the fabric before use. Sometimes, sofa fabrics shrink upon washing. I would recommend not skipping this step.
- Drape :
You need to make a mock design of the sofa cover. Use a cheap muslin cloth or butcher paper to sketch out your design. You can use chalk to draw outlines as well.
- Cut :
With the mock drape design, cut the fabric pieces. You will need to cut the front piece, back pieces, arm pieces, and others separately.
- Pin:
Pin and glue all the sofa pieces together. Just lay the fabric pieces, the wrong side out and use fabric glue to stick them together.
- Cover :
Your DIY sofa cover is now ready. In case the glue hasn’t dried you can use a hairdryer to dry it quicker.
