How to Pay Money to a Builder?
Booking Amount: To confirm your unit and start the arrangement, pay a 10% down payment.
Bank Disbursements: Depending on building milestones (foundation, slab, etc.), your home loan provider will release payments to the builder in installments.
Pre-EMI Payment: Only pre-EMI (interest on disbursed money) is paid during construction. For example, if Rs. 15 lakh is disbursed, your pre-EMI might be Rs. 9,375.
Final Payment: Full EMI begins after ownership, but full disbursement and final pre-EMI occur close to project completion.
Safe Transfers: Keep track of receipts for documentation purposes and make sure all payments are conducted via authorised channels.
