Hi Friend,

Do you want to know how to make jhula at home? When I was expecting my first child, I did a certain amount of research on my end regarding making a jhula or hammock for my baby. A baby hammock is a swing that can be purchased at most baby supply stores, but you can create one yourself for a fraction of the price.

Babies under nine months prefer reclining in the hammock swing because it softly moves them and keeps them engaged while you go about your daily tasks.

How to make big jhula at home
  • Gather your supplies

Before you begin, gather all of the materials you'll need to build the baby hammock swing.

You will need

  1. 3 metres of strong, thick fabric, like muslin, 40 inches (101.6 cm) wide

  2. A 6 inch (15.2 cm) spring

  3. A hook

  4. A steel ring

  5. A chain

  6. A board:1 inch thick, 3 inches (7.6 cm) wide, and 2 feet in length

  7. A snap hook or quick link

  • Construct the swing

The first thing you must do is construct the swing. Sew around the fabric, folding the edges inwards by about 2 inches (5.1 cm)

  • Make a foundation for the swing

The bottom of your baby hammock swing must then be constructed. Sew another seam across the width of the fabric 14 inches (35.6 cm) from the first seam

  • An elastic band can be added to the hammock

Make a canal at the top of the swing for the elastic. Determine the location of the baby's head

  • Measure

8 inches (20.3 cm) on each side of your swing's bottom centre (the part with the 14-inch). Fold a 34-inch strip of cloth over on one side to form a channel for the elastic band

  • Insert the elastic band

sew one end down, and collect the cloth until it measures approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) in length. Sew the other end of the elastic in place once you've collected the material

  • Secure the hammock's bottom by tying it off

Make ties with bias tape at the hammock's bottom end. For each tie, use 13 inches (33.0 cm) of tape and knot the end

  • Make a pillowcase and a pillow

To make a pillow, cut a 14 x 30-inch piece of foam. By estimating the size of the pillow, make a pillowcase from the same fabric as the swing

  • Choose a location for the swing to be hung

Find a suitable location for the hammock swing in your home. Drill a hole in the ceiling and hang a hook once you've selected a suitable location

  • To hang the swing, use a chain

Determine the amount of chain you'll need based on how low you want to hang the hammock swing. The swing shouldn't be too high; in fact, it should be very close to the ground

  • Drill holes for the hammock to be hung from

Each end of the wooden board should be cut into a "U" form. Each "U" should be 34 inches broad and 12 inches in from the edge of the board

  • Pull the fabric free ends through the steel ring

The steel ring should be placed in the fabric's centre. Ensure that the swing's bottom is centred and that it remains flat

  • In the hammock, place your infant

Your baby's head should go where the elastic is, and his or her legs should go where the tied strips are. To close the swing and keep the infant from falling out, tie the straps that are sewed to the bottom of the swing together

I conclude my answer. I hope this answer would help you with an idea of
