1. Take a non-toxic highlighter of your desired colour and remove its felt strip using a tweezer. 

2. Now, you need to peel off the colour from the highlighter felt. You can do this by taking a bowl and placing the felt into it. Now, pour water over it, until you see that the felt has lost all its colour. You will have to take several highlighters and do these two processes to make ample highlighter water.

3. Now, take another bowl and pour 120 ml of cornstarch into it. Add the highlighter water into this in the same amount. Stir the mix till you notice that the cornstarch has dissolved in its entirety. 

4. You can opt to add a little bit of food colouring of your choice to either darken the colour or change the colour of the paint. 

5. Lastly, paint with the resultant solution and turn off the lights. Then, switch on your UV-A backlight and watch the paint glow in the dark!

Glow in the dark paints have been in trend for many years now. In fact, I remember one of my friends' rooms had this paint on the wall and he won’t stop boasting about it.
