Some things to keep in mind while making an affidavit:

• You should make the affidavit in the first person.

• It should be done before a person who is authorized to take oaths in respect of the specific type of affidavit.

• The person who is drafting the affidavit must affirm or swear that the content is true.

• It should be properly signed by the deponent in the presence of the oath administering authority.

Things to include at the bottom part of the Affidavit:

• Full name and signature of the deponent

• Place and date

• Full name and designation of the Notary
