Hey Siri. I will be able to tell you how to install vinyl tile flooring in bathroom. Installing tiles in a bathroom can be a tricky and time taking task, I would say. You need to do the preparation of the flooring, measure tiles and all, so it will take some effort. We renovated our bathroom a few days ago and got vinyl tiling. So, let me share the method.
How to Install Vinyl Tile in Bathroom?
The first thing to do is to measure the area of the bathroom that has to be tiled. This is to know how many tiles will be needed in total.
Once you are done calculating the area, you can find the number of tiles by seeing the area covered by one tile and then dividing the total bathroom area by the area of one tile.
Next, clean the floor well and ensure it is free of grease. Sweep with a broom, mop the floor and ensure it is free of any dirt and dust.
If you are laying the tiles onto floorboards, then you’ll have to lay hardboard or plywood on the area and seal it well. Let the sealant dry completely.
In case you are tiling onto a new floor, the best way is to begin from the middle of the floor. Lay a tile dry in the middle of the floor and work out the edges of the room.
Your tiles should then look like a big plus sign. You should ideally have half tiles or at least even-sized tile cuts at the wall edge of the bathroom.
Adjust the central line and rearrange the other tiles till you have even gaps all round. You can otherwise measure to get a rough idea of the starting point.
Measure from the edges of the central line to the wall. Draw around the central line using a pencil so you’ll know where to start.
If the tiles are self-adhesive ones, peel off half the backing paper and hold the edge with the backing paper and line up the other edge against your pencil lines and push down the tile using your hand.
You can then peel off the remainder of the backing paper and push down using your hands.
When you reach the edges of the bathroom, you will have to cut tiles for a proper fit.
Once you are done laying the tiles, ensure you sweep up to get rid of any stray bits of vinyl tiles and other debris.
This is all I have to share.

How to Lay Vinyl Floor Tiles in Bathroom? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to lay vinyl floor tiles in your bathroom:
Gather Your Tools and Materials: Before embarking on your DIY project, ensure you have the necessary tools and materials, including vinyl tiles, underlayment (if required), adhesive, a utility knife, a measuring tape, a straightedge, a trowel, and a rubber mallet.
Prepare the Subfloor: Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any existing flooring, debris, or protruding nails. Sand any uneven surfaces to create a smooth base for the vinyl tiles.
Install Underlayment (If Required): If your subfloor is concrete or uneven, install a suitable underlayment to provide a smooth, moisture-resistant base for the vinyl tiles. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.
Plan Your Layout: Determine the layout of your vinyl tiles, considering the size of the room and the pattern you want to create. Dry-lay the tiles to visualize the layout and make any necessary adjustments.
Mark Centerlines: Find the centre of each wall and snap chalk lines across the room to create perpendicular centerlines. These lines will guide the placement of the tiles.
Apply Adhesive: Starting from the centre of the room, apply a thin layer of adhesive to the subfloor using a trowel, following the manufacturer's instructions. Work in small sections to prevent the adhesive from drying out.
Lay the Vinyl Tiles: Carefully place the vinyl tiles onto the adhesive, aligning them with the centerlines and ensuring a tight fit. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the tiles into place and ensure a strong bond.
Make Cuts and Adjustments: Use a utility knife to cut tiles as needed for fitting vinyl flooring in bathroom around fixtures, corners, or edges. Ensure precise measurements and clean cuts for a seamless finish.
Allow for Drying Time: Once all tiles are in place, allow the adhesive to cure completely as per the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid walking on the tiles or placing heavy objects on them during this time.
Inspect and Clean: Once the adhesive has dried, inspect the installation for any loose tiles, gaps, or adhesive residue. Clean the floor with a damp mop or cloth to remove any remaining debris or adhesive.
Admire your newly transformed bathroom floor, now adorned with stylish and durable vinyl tiles that enhance the overall ambience of your personal sanctuary. Now you know about bathroom vinyl flooring.
