• Tap the “Check Status/ Download PAN.”

• Mention 12-digit Aadhaar Number.

• Hit the Continue button.

• Validate the OTP as sent to the registered mobile number.

• If your Aadhar card is connected to a PAN card, the following page will show the downloading option where you can get your PAN number on the screen.

Here is how to know PAN number by Aadhar card

1. First, go to the e-Filing portal (

   https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login

   ) homepage. 

2. Login with your user ID

3. Then, click on Instant e-PAN. When the page opens, choose Check Status / Download PAN and press Continue.

4. Now you will see a box asking for your 12-digit Aadhaar number. Type your Aadhaar number and click Continue.

5. After this, you will reach the OTP page. A 6-digit OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP carefully and press Continue. 

6. The OTP is valid for only 15 minutes, so do not wait too long. You get three chances to enter it correctly. You can also see a timer on the screen showing how much time is left. 

7. If the OTP expires or you need a new one, click Resend OTP, and a fresh OTP will be sent to your phone.

8. Once your OTP is verified, you will reach the status page. Here, you can see the current status of your e-PAN request. 

9. If your e-PAN is ready, click View e-PAN to see it or Download e-PAN to save it. If you do not have an e-Filing account yet, click Create e-Filing Account to register.
