Steps to Install Wallpaper Behind Toilet
Here are few techniques that I came across:
Wall Cleaning and Priming
You can start by removing any splatters or residue with a vacuum and clean the wall by wiping it.
Fill any patch holes with a compound and a putty knife. You can sand using a sand block on the bumps to smoothen it. Make sure to sand once the compound is dry.
Apply the primer with a brush or a roller for better sticking of the wallpaper.
Measurement
Start by marking straight lines with a measuring tape at fixed distances from the ceiling down to the baseboard top.
The peel and stick wallpaper will already be pre-cut, whereas you have to cut the non-pasted wallpaper as per the measurements.
Wallpaper Hanging
Before applying the wallpaper pieces, you can keep them next to each other to check the alignment.
For non-pasted wallpaper, you have to submerge it in a water tub for a few minutes and apply the glue on the back panel of the wallpaper and for peel and stick wallpaper simply peel off the backing.
Press the wallpaper on the wall and to avoid air bubbles, you can use a smoothing tool working outward from the center.
