Method to Install Veneer Edge Banding
You must first carefully prepare the edge of your wooden piece. The surface needs to be smooth and free of any cracks or imperfections.
Cut a length of veneer edge banding tape which is just wide enough to cover the entire surface.
You should buy a tape with slightly larger than the thickness of the material you are edge banding.
You can apply the tape by hand, but it is a time-consuming process. You can alternatively buy industrial-grade machines for this.
After applying the edge banding tape, you will need a flush trimming tool. This tool trims fleece-backed wood veneer edge banding. It won’t work well on paper-backed edge banding.
