Here are the steps I came across to install the AC in a high-rise building.
Install the Indoor Unit: First, mark and drill holes using the mounting bracket as a template, ensure level, fix it with screws and hook the unit onto the bracket securely.
Set Up the Outdoor Unit: Then, clean the installation area, place anti-vibration pads, mount the unit on brackets, and bolt it firmly in place.
Connect Copper Pipes and Wires: After that, join indoor and outdoor units with insulated copper pipes, wrap joints with insulation tape, and connect wires using proper connectors as per the manual.
Test for Refrigerant Leaks: Then, use a vacuum pump for 15 to 20 minutes until 5 PSI is reached, then spray soapy water on joints to check for leaks and tighten if needed.
Power Up and Test: After all this process, switch on the AC to a cooling mode at 18 degrees Celsius, run for 15 minutes, and perform the Condensation Confirmation Check.
