You’d need the soft close side glides, drill, mounting clips, a screwdriver, tape measure, pencil and a level. I am listing the steps for you to follow below.
How do You Install Soft Close Drawer Slides?
Here is how you can place soft close drawer slides:
Begin by removing the drawer from the cabinet. Empty it and unscrew the existing drawer glide hardware.
Keep the drawer on its side. Position the new glide flush with the bottom of your drawer. Ensure that the small extending portion of the glide is at the drawer’s front. Mark using a pencil.
Screw the glide with a screwdriver, you can predrill holes if needed. Flip the drawer and repeat the process for the other side.
Pull the glide back on the drawer to release the clip and remove the cabinet portion from the drawer. Next, attach mounting clips to each end of this segment.
Fix the face frame clip to the cabinet with a screw and a screwdriver, predilling holes if needed. Attach the back mounting clip to the rear of the cabinet box, ensuring it’s level before you screw it in.
Measure the distance of the drawer glide at the front and back of the box. Make adjustments to the screw, if needed and repeat on the other side.
Slide the drawer into the glides and ensure that everything aligns correctly. Install the rest of the screws and you’re done.
