How to Install Drawer Slides in an Existing Cabinet?
First, the professionals removed the old drawers and slides. They checked the cabinet and drawer box to make sure everything was fine and then cleaned the surfaces properly.
Next, they measured the inside of the cabinet to check if the new sliding system would fit. They marked the spots where the under-mount drawer slides would go and double-checked everything with a level.
Then, they fixed the under-mount slides inside the cabinet using screws. Both sides were kept straight and even for smooth sliding.
After that, they placed the drawer box on the slides and attached it tightly from the bottom. They made sure both sides were even and moving properly.
They added a small push latch at the back, mostly in the centre. It helps the drawer open with a light push. They checked if it was fixed correctly and worked smoothly.
Once everything was fixed, they tested the drawer by pushing and pulling it. If it didn’t move smoothly, they adjusted the latch and slides slightly.
Finally, they tightened all the screws and cleaned the area. The drawers moved perfectly and looked neat after installation.
