First, gather the basic tools you will need.
A screwdriver, drill machine and measuring tape are enough for most of the work.

The chimney usually comes with its own screws and brackets for fixing it to the wall.
Next, decide on the correct place to install the chimney.
It should be fitted at the right height above the stove. The gap between the stove and the chimney must stay between 26 and 32 inches.
If it is too close, the heat from the burner can be dangerous. If it is too high, the chimney will not pull smoke properly. Also, check that a plug point is nearby so the chimney can get power easily.

Attach the pipe to the chimney’s outlet using clamps or connectors.
Try to keep the duct as short as possible, not more than 12 feet. Stainless steel or aluminium duct pipes work best because they last longer.

Run the pipe through the planned opening in the wall or ceiling and seal it properly so there is no leakage of air.
Finally, connect the chimney to the power point. Switch off the main power before doing this for safety.
